Wrap-Up

Residential Wrap-Up Administration

A wrap-up insurance policy, also referred to as an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) or a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP), is purchased by a contractor or developer and covers every construction participant in a project under one protective insurance "umbrella."

DBHR is the largest independent general liability wrap-up administrator in the country.

Our team of professional consultants with diverse expertise in the legal, insurance and construction industries also administers workers' compensation wraps.

Our clients include public entities and builders of residential and commercial projects. Since 1999 we have administered more than 1,300 such policies across the nation, and are a catalyst for the ever-growing use of wrap-up insurance.

By customizing and coordinating the contract policy language and agreements between the developer/general contractor and each trade contractor, we create a mutually beneficial contractual relationship between the developer and each trade contractor on a project.

This win-win situation is particularly evident when it comes to the Premium Allocation services DBHR offers. Since 2001, we have negotiated contributions from approximately 6,000 subcontractors, totaling $32 million in credits received. Premium Allocation enables owners/builders to recoup the costs associated with purchasing the policy, and trade contractors are able to obtain the correct amount of liability coverage while reaping the benefits of being covered under a wrap policy.

Because organization is the key to effectively administering wraps, we developed wrapup.net, a web-based program that enables builders to track the wrap-up process throughout the length of the project.

The process is simple; you buy the policy, we do all the rest.
